BYD Tang Seeks Buyers in Türkiye with Attractive Financing

As the last week of October begins, the commercial loan campaign that BYD has launched in Türkiye for the Tang has once again cemented the model's place in market conversations: Loans of up to 1,000,000 TL, 12-month terms, and interest starting from 1.99% are valid until October 31. Can such a financing package next to a model's 5.4 million TL price tag actually change the purchasing decision? Before giving the answer, we need to clarify what the vehicle at the center of this campaign is; because the BYD Tang is not exactly what you would expect in Türkiye's premium electric SUV class.
What Is the BYD Tang? The 7-Seater Electric Flagship Sold in Türkiye
The Tang is BYD's highest-positioned model in the Turkish market: An E-segment, all-wheel-drive SUV with a 7-passenger capacity and 100% electric. BYD's model count in Türkiye has risen to six with the Tang; the brand openly positions the model as its flagship SUV on social media and at dealerships. It is sold in Türkiye in a single trim level, under the name Tang 380 kW AWD Flagship.
On the engineering side, the picture is clear. Power is 380 kW, or 517 horsepower; torque is 700 Nm. 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, top speed 190 km/h. These figures are certainly not ordinary for a family SUV approaching two tons; but the Tang's real distinguishing trait is not performance, but configuration. The basic technical table below summarizes the model's identity at a glance:
| Feature | BYD Tang 380 kW AWD |
|---|---|
| Segment / body | E-segment SUV, 7 seats |
| Engine power / torque | 380 kW (517 PS), 700 Nm |
| 0–100 km/h | 4.9 seconds |
| Battery | 108.8 kWh Blade Battery |
| Range (WLTP combined) | 530 km |
| Range (WLTP city) | 681.5 km |
| DC fast charging | 170 kW, 30–80% in about 30 minutes |
| Average consumption | 24 kWh/100 km |
| Euro NCAP | 5 stars |
On the battery side, BYD's own 108.8 kWh Blade Battery is used. Based on LFP chemistry, this cell architecture is the Tang's largest-volume application of the thermal durability and safety emphasis we see in the brand's other models. The single-package policy, with all premium equipment coming as standard, makes comparison easy: you can skip the options list and go straight to the price.
Highlights
- 530 km WLTP combined range; 681.5 km in the city cycle
- 0–100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with 380 kW / 700 Nm
- 30–80% DC charge in about 30 minutes (170 kW)
- October commercial loan campaign: 1,000,000 TL / 12 months / 1.99%, until October 31
- One of the rare 7-seater fully electric SUV options in its class
What Is the Real Range? Range and Charging Character
The gap between the catalog value and the real-world value is the issue electric vehicle buyers are most sensitive about. The Tang's WLTP combined range is 530 km; this measurement is the result of a standardized laboratory cycle and is rarely found in practice. The realistic figure calculated by independent range databases is around 460 km. The gap is not bad news for the model; with a battery capacity of 108.8 kWh, which is noticeably larger than other batteries claiming similar range, there is a wide margin of safety. In city use, the urban portion of the WLTP cycle shows 681.5 km; the classic advantage written by low speeds and regenerative braking works here too.
An important detail for winter conditions: the high-efficiency heat pump system comes as standard and limits range loss at low temperatures. Because the heat pump provides cabin heating not by drawing energy from the battery but by compressing heat from the outside air, it reduces the load placed on the battery in cold weather; Tang offers this equipment not as an option but as standard equipment.
The effect on charging habits: What is 170 kW enough for?
The Tang's DC fast charging power is 170 kW; the time to reach from 30% to 80% charge is approximately 30 minutes. This figure is behind rivals with 800-volt architectures like the Kia EV6 (roughly an 18-minute 10-80% window, 233 kW DC). So the Tang is not the fastest-charging electric SUV. In practice, the compensation lies in the battery capacity: the 30-80% range is about half of the 108.8 kWh pack, meaning a 30-minute stop loads more than 200 km of practical range. It changes planning a bit on long journeys, but does not limit them.
As for the statistics: average consumption is 24 kWh/100 km. That is a balanced figure for a 517-horsepower AWD vehicle, but of course not an efficiency champion; a consistent data point showing that Tang positions its identity on the side of power and capacity. Additionally, the vehicle supports bidirectional charging (V2X/BPT): With the V2L function, external discharge at a power of 4 kW is possible, meaning it can be used as an external power source from camping gear to job sites.
Interior and Technology: One Package, Complete Equipment
The standout feature in the cabin is the 15.6-inch rotating central display. On the audio side, the 12-speaker Dynaudio system is standard; the 31-color ambient lighting can sync to the rhythm of the music. The seats come in black or brown leather, with heating and massage functions on the front seats. Three-zone automatic climate control, a PM2.5 air filter, and a Child Presence Detection (CPD) feature are among the concrete manifestations of the family-focused positioning. 21-inch alloy wheels and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are also standard equipment.
On the connectivity side, there is 4G connectivity, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless OTA updates, keyless access via NFC card and app, remote climate control, and remote vehicle lock. A four-zone voice assistant means four different people in the same vehicle can give separate commands. With a model sold in a single equipment level, the meaning of this abundance is simple: there is no list of extra payments for equipment upgrade packages. On the safety side, it holds a 5-star rating from Euro NCAP, while its design language carries BYD's signature Dragon Face and dynamic welcome lights. Cargo space is unexpectedly generous for a 7-seat vehicle: with the seats folded down, it reaches up to 1,665 liters.
BYD Tang Price and Its Position in the Türkiye Market

The Tang is sold in Türkiye in a single version, and its price line has moved upward through 2026: The price, which was 5,314,000 TL in January 2026, rose to 5,418,000 TL as of September 2026. In BYD's price list, the Tang, together with the Seal AWD Excellence (4,077,000 TL) and the Sealion 7 AWD Excellence (4,190,000 TL), forms the brand's upper segment. A comparison point in the same price range: The Ford Explorer BEV Premium, a rival in the premium electric SUV class, is priced at around 4,217,200 TL as of October 2026. In other words, the Tang is positioned above its class peers, with a premium of roughly one million TL.
The picture in the used car market is interesting, though: 2025 Tang Flagship listings are listed at around 4,250,000 TL. This gap visible after one year of use shows that the first-year depreciation typical of the premium segment also persists on the electric side. Evaluations by local content creators reflect the same tension: while comfort and equipment are viewed positively, the price tag is questioned. This is where the card the brand plays is the financing side.
October Credit Campaign: Who Is 1,000,000 TL, 12 Months, 1.99% Meaningful For?
Let's state the campaign's parameters clearly: BYD Türkiye is offering, for the Tang throughout October, a credit of up to 1,000,000 TL, a 12-month term, and interest starting at 1.99%, exclusively for commercial customers. The campaign is valid until October 31 and is not interest-free; it is a commercial package aimed at corporate customers, that is, business owners with a tax plate. Credit of up to 100% of the vehicle's price is provided through a partner financial institution. The same package was seen to be offered in a similar form for the Tang and Han in February and May as well; in October it was kept intact on the Tang side.
This package needs to be read mathematically. 1,000,000 TL with a 12-month term means a monthly principal burden of about 83,000 TL; with 1.99% monthly interest, the total repayment is clearly above the principal amount, but compared with commercial vehicle loans at market conditions, it is a seriously discounted cost. Another example for comparison: On the Citroën C5 Aircross side, there is a 500,000 TL / 12 months / 0.99% package for corporate customers - the Tang's amount is double, and its interest is one point higher. In short, the Tang's package melts a bigger slab of butter faster, but it also gives greater purchasing power.
How does it affect the purchase decision?
A 1,000,000 TL slice of a 5,418,000 TL vehicle can be financed through this campaign; meaning roughly one-fifth of the vehicle's price sits in low-cost, short-term financing. For company owners or buyers building a commercial vehicle fleet, a 12-month term means splitting the vehicle's cash outlay over a year, and uses such as a 7-seat family/SUV serving both customer visits and staff transport within the company make it legitimate. A structure that does not directly touch individual buyers - the campaign is clearly aimed at commercial customers. Still, it has an indirect effect: low-interest commercial demand speeds up dealer stock turnover and keeps the model's market visibility alive. In a period when interest rates are running high, a package starting at 1.99% should be read as a tool that lowers the effective cost without a price discount.
Why Is the Tang Different for Those Looking for a 7-Seat Electric SUV?
Most premium electric SUV options in Türkiye are five-seaters: Tesla Model Y, Kia EV6, BYD Sealion 7 are all in this format. The Tang, however, is one of the rare options offering a fully electric 7-seat body, and this places it directly on a line of distinction - if the third row will genuinely be used, the Tang enters the comparison on its own. The combination of 530 km range + 7 seats + 4.9 seconds also explains why the model gets carried into a technical superiority debate in comparisons with the Tesla Model Y; the Model Y is more efficient and charges faster, but it cannot take six people.
Just beyond the horizon stands the next generation. The Tang L (Great Tang), introduced in China, represents a serious leap over the current Tang with its 1,000-volt architecture, charging support of 1,000-1,500 kW, 100.5 kWh Blade battery, roughly 600 km CLTC range, and 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It should be noted that the Tang sold in Türkiye is the previous generation, different from this new platform; there is no official confirmation yet on whether the new model will come to Türkiye. Today's buyer purchases a proven current platform, not a future flagship.
Conclusion: Will the Campaign Change the Balances?
In Türkiye, the BYD Tang has a clear identity with a single package, complete equipment, and its 7-seat electric format. 530 km WLTP range, 4.9-second acceleration, and 5-star safety ratings make the technical side strong; the price at around 5.4 million TL and DC charging power limited to 170 kW are points of negotiation. The 1,000,000 TL / 12 months / 1.99% commercial package in October targets exactly this area of negotiation: while the price tag stays fixed, it lowers the effective financing cost, pulling down the decision threshold for corporate customers until October 31. For a company owner looking for a 7-seat electric SUV, the final week of the campaign offers an evaluation window worth considering.
