Volvo's fully electric luxury sedan ES90 was put on sale in Türkiye with an official announcement made on the evening of September 30, 2026. With a starting price of 7,027,440 TL the model has taken its place on shelves in our country with a single trim level: Ultra Twin Motor Performance. In other words, buyers don't make a powertrain or equipment choice; Volvo is bringing the most powerful and richest-equipped version of the ES90 in a single package. With 680 horsepower, a WLTP range of up to 696 km, and an 800V charging architecture, the ES90 is a model that lifts the brand's ambitions in Türkiye's premium electric market in one stroke.

Highlights

  • Türkiye price: 7,027,440 TL, with a single trim level (Ultra Twin Motor Performance)
  • Total power 680 hp, torque 870 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 4.0 seconds
  • WLTP range up to 696 km; 102 kWh usable battery
  • 10–80% charge at 350 kW DC in approximately 22 minutes
  • Supplied from the Volvo facility in Malaysia, with a 2027 model year label

How much is the Volvo ES90's price in Türkiye and with which trim is it sold?

Volvo Car Türkiye announced the official price of the ES90 on the evening of September 30, 2026. On the brand's official page, the model is currently listed at a 7,027,440 TL starting price, with a 2027 model year label. The promotional process leading up to the announcement also moved quickly: throughout September, the brand's social media ads showed the ES90 being prepared for Türkiye, in November it was shared that it would go on sale with a single trim, and the launch event took place at the Esma Sultan Mansion on September 30 – October 1.

The single-trim strategy is an unusual choice in the premium segment. Most manufacturers aim to attract buyers from different budgets by building a wide price ladder between entry and top versions. Volvo, however, has completely removed this ladder on the ES90: every ES90 in Türkiye comes with the Twin Motor Performance powertrain and the full Ultra equipment package. When evaluated together with the brand's other fully electric models in Türkiye, the advantage of this approach is clear: no surprises in the price list, top equipment as standard.

Bringing our new fully electric model ES90, which represents the future of Volvo Cars, together with our customers in Türkiye is a great source of excitement and pride for us. With the ES90 joining our fully electric model lineup, we believe we will further strengthen our presence in Türkiye's premium electric car market.
Alican Emiroğlu, General Manager of Volvo Car Türkiye

Where does the vehicle come from?

The Volvo facility in Malaysia is indicated as the source of the ES90s to come to Türkiye. Built on the SPA2 architecture, the model was introduced to the world in March 2025; meaning the Türkiye launch is a relatively late but well-equipped stop in the model's global journey.

Twin Motor Performance powertrain: what does 680 hp mean?

The Türkiye version of the ES90 produces a total of 500 kW (680 hp) of power and 870 Nm of torque from two electric motors. The power distribution is asymmetric: 299 hp on the front axle, 381 hp at the rear. From 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds the car's top speed is limited to 180 km/s in line with Volvo's long-standing safety policy.

These performance figures make the ES90 one of the fastest representatives in its class. In fact, the model is positioned in some evaluations as the most powerful and longest-range electric model in its segment. Of course, since we are talking about a kerb weight of 2,610 kg, this performance is as much a product of battery management as raw power; the 800V architecture plays a decisive role in both charging speed and power delivery.

Range and charging: 696 km and a 22-minute break

On the battery side, up to 102 kWh of the 106 kWh nominal capacity is usable. According to the WLTP measurement cycle, the range reaches up to 696 km . Volvo states that this figure is based on preliminary data and specific test conditions, that the results are not guaranteed, and that the car's certification process is ongoing. It is obvious that real-world range will vary significantly depending on driving style, speed and climate conditions; but a WLTP figure of 696 km is a strong reference point for an electric sedan in this class.

How is the charging experience?

The ES90's 800V electrical architecture shines with its charging profile. The time it takes to take the battery from 10% to 80% at a 350 kW DC fast charging station is approximately 22 minutes. To put it more concretely: a 10-minute coffee break provides approximately 285 km of additional range. In long-distance use, this means in practice that charging stops overlap with rest stops.

On the home user side, 11 kW AC charging is in play; overnight charging with a wallbox comfortably covers daily usage needs. The battery also comes with bidirectional charging (V2H) capability; that is, the vehicle's battery can be used as an additional energy source for the home. During power outages or in hours with favorable tariffs, this feature stands out as part of the ecosystem the brand envisions.

What does the Ultra trim package bring?

Ultra donanımlı ES90'da 14,5 inç dikey ekran, aktif şasi ve hava temizleme artık lüksü tanımlayan yeni standart oluyor.

Ultra, the only trim level in Türkiye, covers the entire equipment map of the ES90. This means the price list has just one line; but the content is rich enough to please an experienced buyer. Highlights:

  • Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system with 25 speakers
  • Electrochromic panoramic glass roof and active air suspension
  • Four-zone climate control, heated and ventilated leather seats, advanced air purification technology
  • Vertical 14.5-inch center screen, 9-inch driver display and head-up display
  • Built-in Google services (Assistant, Maps, Play), OTA updates, digital key and the Volvo Cars app
  • 3D 360-degree camera, active chassis, 21-inch glossy black diamond-cut wheels, power tailgate

Wireless Apple CarPlay is offered as standard; Google services come with a four-year digital services package. Over-the-air (OTA) support means the car will continue to evolve on the software side even after delivery. The active air suspension stands out as the element that defines ride comfort in this class; in a car carrying a 2.6-ton body, suspension quality is a headline that affects the purchase decision as much as performance.

Sedan or liftback? Silhouette and practicality

The ES90 has a design that is hard to fit into rigid molds: a silhouette combining sedan elegance with fastback practicality, with a seating position approaching that of an SUV. The 5-meter length and 3,102 mm wheelbase offer generous rear legroom, while the 1,546 mm height also provides comfortable head clearance. On the aerodynamic side, a drag coefficient of 0.25 Cd makes this car the most aerodynamic model Volvo has ever produced; one of the quiet but critical components of the long-range goal.

On the luggage side, there is a 446-liter compartment, a volume expanding up to 1,427 liters when the seats are folded, and an additional 27-liter storage space under the front hood. The wide loading opening offered by the fastback tailgate eliminates the practical constraint of classic sedan trunks. For buyers looking only for a hybrid sedan, the brand continues to keep the S90 in the lineup with PHEV and mild hybrid versions.

The ES90's position in the Türkiye market

Volvo Car Türkiye's assessment is clear: the ES90 is a model that will strengthen the brand's presence in the premium electric car market in Türkiye. Positioned in Türkiye's electric luxury sedan segment with this price and equipment combination, the ES90 both simplifies the decision-making process with its single-trim strategy and locks top-level equipment into the price. The price at the level of 7 million TL falls in a band comparable to the premium electric models that make up nearly the entire segment; however, the equipment being fully loaded sets up an equation that turns the value per _EQ in the buyer's favor.

From the buyer's perspective, three questions determine the purchase decision: does the 680 hp performance and 22-minute charging practicality match the 7,027,440 TL price tag; is the 696 km WLTP range sufficient in real-world use; and does the single trim mean paying for everything that may not be needed? Technical figures voice a strong yes to the first two questions. The third makes the ES90 a particularly sensible choice for buyers whose budget extends to this segment but who do not want to climb the equipment ladder.
