BYD's October price list in Türkiye maintains its place on the electric market's agenda: the list price for the brand's flagship sedan SEAL's 390 kW AWD Excellence trim 4.077.000 TL has been announced, and with the official campaign, a 305.000 TL discount advantage is offered on this price; the campaign is valid until October 30, 2026 . The other notable item on the list is SEALION 7 AWD Excellence, with a 4.190.000 TL
tag, while the TANG 380 kW AWD also maintains its place on the list. We examine in detail the meaning of this campaign-based positioning at a time when the market is shrinking but the electric side is increasing its share.

- The passenger car and light commercial vehicle market shrank by 11.91% in the first eight months of the year.
How much is the October 2026 BYD price list?
The standout items on the brand's official list are clear: SEAL 390 kW AWD Excellence 4.077.000 TL, SEALION 7 390 kW AWD Excellence 4.190.000 TL. The list also includes the TANG 380 kW AWD; the October lists published by authorized dealers also show models such as the SEAL U DM-i and DOLPHIN . In other words, the brand is no longer selling in Türkiye with a single model, but with a wide lineup ranging from sedan-SUV to city car.
Precision is required here: the discount on the SEAL is not applied by directly lowering the list price, but through a campaign item. The monthly updated comparison tables provide September price, October price, and October campaign price columns separately. This distinction is important; because the list price reflects the standard price structure, while the campaign row reflects a periodic advantage. Who knows, behind this distinction there may also be a reflex of not flexing the price table along with the campaign's temporary nature.
The technical identity of the SEAL Excellence trim is also essential when evaluating this price: 82.5 kWh LFP battery, WLTP combined range 520 km, city range 615 km. The 390 kW AWD system makes the model one of the most powerful electric sedans in Türkiye.
What does the 305.000 TL discount mean?
The headline on the official campaign page summarizes the intent: "Superior Performance, Special Offers: October Campaign on the BYD SEAL." The advantage is 305.000 TL; in addition, all customers are promised extra privileges at dealers. So the campaign price drops from the 4.077.000 TL list price to approximately 3.772.000 TL . There is also an important note in authorized dealer lists: campaign models with turnkey pricing are limited to stock. This may be the most concrete question at hand: is the vehicle in your desired color and trim in stock?
Having spent over 30 years in this industry, let me say this: the size of the discount amount matters no more than a line on a list; what matters is how much it adds up to at the end of the day in sales. An advantage of around 300 thousand TL is reasonable but not extraordinary for a vehicle at this price; the real question is whether this campaign is an exception or effectively a permanent pricing.
Campaign list or price list?
The changing discount amounts on the SEAL side throughout the year do not go unnoticed: in April 60,000 TL, in mid-year 300,000 TL level advantages were seen; in October the figure reached 305,000 TL. A similar trend was observed with the HAN; during the summer months there was also a 300 thousand TL campaign difference there. This picture fuels the criticism that the price list has effectively turned into a "campaign list." In the past, the price list stayed almost fixed throughout the year, and discounts were negotiated at the dealership table; now the discount is announced along with the list. They say transparency has increased for the customer, but moving the bargaining margin into the list title actually shows that demand is being pushed.
Why is the electric share increasing while the market shrinks?

Market data draws the context of the picture. In the January-August period, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market shrank by a total of 11.91% ; the contraction in the first seven months was at 10.7% . In contrast, the electric side continued to gain share: in September 2026, the market share of electric cars rose to 23.7%, seeing its highest monthly level of the year. In September, approximately 15,074 electric cars were sold, and at the peak was the Togg T10X, with 4,237 units.
The trick of the business (I say this because that is the essence of it) is that share and volume are not the same thing. When the market collapses, increasing share does not mean growing in absolute terms. In the first half of the year, the electric market share rose to 18.5%, while unit sales declined by 5.3% . So the electric segment actually owes its share to the total market shrinking faster; this must be said honestly. The increase in share is still a sign of a structural transformation, but it emerges when the sharp corners of the growth story are trimmed away.
The break in the power segment may explain the campaign
Scattered data as of October confirms this: While sales of electric cars under 160 kW increased by 7.9% , they took a 17% share ; models over 160 kW , with a drop of 59% in sales, are nearly on the verge of disappearing, down to a 2.3% share. Demand is shifting toward the lower segment in terms of power and price. The SEAL AWD's 390 kW performance-oriented character stands at the exact opposite end of this break. For high-power models, a campaign is not an enticement but effectively a necessity; demand is not there, it is at the very bottom of the pyramid.
How do Togg's and Renault's October moves position the SEAL?
Part of this news is BYD's list, but the real story is the duel of three brands that simultaneously launched campaigns in October. On the Togg side, the standout financing option for the T10X 4More is 1,500,000 TL down payment, 36 months and 2.99% monthly with interest 78,094 TL payment; T10F's October price, on the other hand, is at the 1,884,980 TL level. Additional campaigns with low down payments, long-term financing and zero-interest loan options are also on the agenda. In other words, today's EV sales are won not only with the list price but with the financing package.
On the Renault front, the electric lineup is clear with official prices: Megane E-Tech Electric 2,386,000 TL, Scenic E-Tech Electric 3,490,000 TL. The different levels in the Megane's pricing visualization stem from confusing the base trim with the Excellence trim; the current official price should be taken as the reference. Renault's electric side plays in the C segment with a more accessible base price and moves upward with the Scenic.
SEAL's competitor map is drawn between these two poles. In Türkiye, "two sedans for the same price" comparisons are made between the SEAL and the Togg T10F ; abroad, the SEAL is positioned as a Tesla Model 3 rival. The 305,000 TL discount tries to pull the price down to a point where it puts pressure on rivals in exactly this comparison space.
| Model | October 2026 price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| BYD SEAL 390 kW AWD Excellence | 4,077,000 TL | 305,000 TL discount in the campaign |
| BYD SEALION 7 390 kW AWD Excellence | 4,190,000 TL | Currently on the list |
| BYD TANG 380 kW AWD | - | Listed |
| Togg T10F | 1,884,980 TL | October price |
| Renault Megane E-Tech Electric | 2,386,000 TL | Official price |
| Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric | 3,490,000 TL | Official price |
The table shows that the SEAL sits in a completely different price region compared to the T10F; this comparison is actually made between two products with different equipment and power levels. There is still a serious gap between it and the Megane. Therefore, SEAL's campaign is not just a price move, but a positioning move.
What does the October campaign promise to buyers?
Let's look at it practically. In the campaign running until October 30, the SEAL AWD Excellence is the most attractive row in the table with its 305,000 TL advantage and additional perks at dealers. However, two conditions weigh heavily: the advantage applies only to limited-stock models and the campaign closes in a month. These two constraints clearly indicate that the price is not a permanent reduction but a periodic adjustment. When the list is refreshed on October 31, anyone can predict how the discount line will be updated by looking at the pattern of previous months; still, we prefer to see the list.
In light of the 59% collapse in the segment above 160 kW, concern that a 390 kW model like the SEAL would be hard to sell without a campaign is reasonable. But the 82.5 kWh battery and 520 km WLTP combined range still offer tangible value to the buyer of one of the segment's most well-equipped products. The campaign shortens the shadow this value casts on the price tag; nothing more.
Final word
The October list clearly reveals BYD's Türkiye strategy: competing in the upper segment through a campaign with a strong model, while continuing in the lower and mid segments with a wide lineup. While the market shrank by 11.91%, the EV share climbing to 23.7% shows that this story has a mathematically dark but structurally bright side. Looking at the SEAL's 305,000 TL discount and asking "what happens when the discount ends" is the question I would ask; the answer will be written in the November list.
