BMW UK has launched a special sales program for professional chauffeurs and executive transport providers using the new 7 Series and the fully electric i7. has launched a special sales program for professional chauffeurs and executive transport providers using the Chauffeur Programme As the name suggests, the scheme brings together a five-year unlimited-mileage service package, a one-year safety subscription, and courtesy vehicle support under one roof, aligning luxury sedan ownership with the business logic of chauffeur-driven fleets. The program is offered to licensed operators through BMW dealerships.

Highlights

  • The Chauffeur Programme was officially announced on October 14, 2026.
  • Five years of unlimited mileage covers eligible 7 Series and i7 vehicles under the Service Inclusive package.
  • A one-year BMW Security PRO subscription includes tracking, monitoring, and driver tag functions.
  • High-voltage battery warranty for the i7 8 years / 100,000 miles or so.
  • A free home charging unit is provided with i7 orders until the end of 2026.

What is the Chauffeur Programme and who is it for?

Run by BMW UK through its Specialist Sales Channel, the program-as its name implies-targets owners who do not drive the vehicle themselves but serve the passenger behind them. The target audience is broadly defined: licensed private hire operators, chauffeur companies, executive transport providers, luxury hotels' house-car fleets, corporate and VIP transport operators, and independent chauffeurs all fall within the program's scope.

The one notable exception is taxi operators; they are not included in the program. This distinction is not arbitrary. BMW's target customer profile is the segment that carries a high-level passenger in the back seat and markets this as a commercial service. Taxi operations, on the other hand, belong to an entirely different world in terms of pricing, vehicle type, and operating model.

The program is stated to consist of six integrated support pillars. The aim can be summarized under three headings: reducing vehicle downtime, improving the ownership experience, and supporting the business continuity of chauffeur-driven fleets. The details of the six pillars show how the program concretizes these goals.

The program's scope: six pillars and what they offer

The heaviest component of the package is undoubtedly Service Inclusive. For eligible 7 Series and i7 vehicles, five years of unlimited-mileage service coverage is offered. This item may not make much difference in regular private use; but in chauffeur service, the vehicle barely ever rests and mileage accumulates many times faster than for a private user. A service commitment with no mileage limit is precisely why this is decisive for professional operators.

BMW Security PRO: a one-year safety subscription

The second critical component is the one-year BMW Security PRO subscription. The package provides advanced vehicle tracking, real-time monitoring, a driver-specific driver tag function, and direct access to a secure operations center. For a fleet manager who has to park a high-value luxury sedan in the city and during nighttime hours, such a protection layer can be considered as much a part of the business as the vehicle itself.

Mobility Support and warranty assurance

When a vehicle enters the workshop for a repair covered under warranty, Mobility Support kicks in: the customer gets access to a licensed 7 Series or i7 replacement vehicle, or support for a rental solution they arrange themselves. On the electric i7 side, there is also warranty coverage of up to 8 years / 100,000 miles for the high-voltage battery.

Financing and charging incentives

On the financing side, the cooperation between BMW Financial Services UK and ALPHABET stands out. Four products - Regulated Hire Purchase, Unregulated Hire Purchase, Business Contract Purchase and Business Contract Hire - are offered depending on the customer's type and business structure. Since the ownership model of a corporate fleet and an independent chauffeur will not be the same, this variety is meaningful.

There is also an incentive specific to the electric side: customers who place an eligible i7 Chauffeur Programme order by the end of 2026 receive a free Pod home charging unit, provided the installation is completed by March 2027. Being able to charge part of the fleet overnight at one's own facility is a factor that directly affects the economics of electric chauffeur-driven operations.

Why now? What the chauffeur market means in the luxury segment

Reading this program merely as a service package would be an incomplete interpretation. BMW has opened a new channel to move sales of its flagship sedan beyond the traditional individual customer. Chauffeur-driven vehicles follow a different product logic than privately used vehicles: mileage is high, operating costs must be predictable, and every hour the vehicle is out of service is a direct loss of revenue. Just as important as rear-seat comfort, these three factors determine the purchase decision. The program's six pillars are structured precisely around these realities.

It is worth recalling the context. BMW Group, with its MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad brands, is one of the leading manufacturers in the premium segment; in 2025 it sold 2.46 million passenger vehicles and more than 202,500 motorcycles, with a pre-tax profit of EUR 10.2 billion and revenue at the level of EUR 133.5 billion. For a company operating more than 30 production facilities and a sales network in over 140 countries, opening its flagship model to the commercial-use market counts as a natural strategic move.

The way the program was developed is also noteworthy. BMW emphasizes that the structure took shape as a result of extensive consultations with the industry. The assessment of Rachel McDermott, Head of Luxury Vehicle Business Development at BMW UK, that the program was designed around the real needs of professional operators and offers a consistent, nationwide single proposition summarizes the program's core sales promise: a standard package instead of conditions that vary from dealer to dealer. This approach is also supported by approved imagery that operators can use in their promotional campaigns.

Why is the i7 a sensible choice for chauffeured use?

Sekiz yıla uzanan batarya garantisi ve ücretsiz ev şarj ünitesi, i7'yi şoför filolarının elektrikli tereddütlerini eritmeye en hazır model hâline getiriyor.

The electric i7 is the model at the very center of the program. In the specified variants, it offers up to 451 miles of range according to the WLTP cycle; gains 157 miles of range with a 10-minute charge and completes 0-62 mph acceleration in 4.8 seconds. For chauffeured urban use, these values point to an operational profile capable of handling a heavy appointment schedule without long waiting times. Its silent and vibration-free operation also directly reflects on the quality of time spent in the back seat.

When the free home charging unit incentive and the battery warranty extended to up to 8 years are considered together, BMW's effort to pitch its electric model to chauffeur fleets becomes clearly visible. Battery life concerns are one of the most debated topics in commercial fleet decisions; the long warranty period is an answer aimed at dissolving this hesitation.

Sales channel and operational details

The program is run through BMW dealers across the UK and managed by BMW UK's Specialist Sales Channel. This arrangement aims for a dealer network that normally focuses on individual customers to properly meet corporate and professional operator demands. Presenting everything from financing to servicing, and from safety to charging infrastructure under one roof eliminates the operator's need to deal with multiple organizations separately.

The vehicle range covered is also up to date: the program includes both the facelifted version of the internal combustion hybrid 7 Series and its electric twin, the i7. One more detail can be glimpsed on the horizon; the ALPINA-branded, G72-coded version is expected to join the range next year and, by character, could be an option that attracts interest in chauffeured use. This last point is still at the expectation level; the program's current scope is limited to the 7 Series and i7.

Assessment: the right package for the right customer

For someone who has been following this industry for many years, the most striking aspect of the program is that the old pattern of luxury sedan sales has been broken. In the past, the flagship sedan buyer was almost always an individual who drove the car themselves; now BMW is selling the same product to professionals who keep it not in their garage but in their operation, with terms designed around their profit-and-loss balance. When the unlimited mileage servicing, courtesy vehicle guarantee and safety subscription are considered together, the resulting picture resembles an operational partnership more than a car sale.

Time will of course show the program's market value. However, by excluding taxi operators, defining a precise customer profile, and structuring the package based on consultations with the industry, BMW shows that it is taking this business seriously. Although the luxury chauffeur-driven vehicle market may seem small, it is loyal; a well-designed program can secure a foothold in that market for years. BMW UK seems to have made exactly this calculation.
