The sixth round of the MOTUL 2026 Türkiye Karting Championship was held at Tuzla Karting Park on October 3-4, and the most striking result of the weekend emerged: in the Junior category, with his brother in the Mini category, Rüzgar Tırınk took the top step, achieving a double first place in two different categories. This result, a critical turning point on the calendar ahead of the championship's seventh round, also crowned Dynamic Racing Team with championships in three categories, chiefly Junior and Mini. Below you will find the course of the races, the category results, and the impact of this result on the points table.

Highlights

  • October 3-4, 2026: The championship's sixth round was held at Tuzla Karting Park.
  • 37 athletes competed in four categories: Micro, Mini, Junior, and Senior.
  • Rüzgar Tırınk in Junior, Bulut Tırınk in Mini finished first .
  • Dynamic Racing Team won the Junior, Mini, and Senior team classifications.
  • The points standings are being updated through official channels along with the only remaining round of the season.

How did the two-day program at Tuzla work?

The organization was undertaken by the Tuzla Motorsports Club; the event, held with the contributions of Spor Toto, MOTUL, and the Tuzla Municipality, was run at Tuzla Karting Park inside the Tuzla Municipality Şelale Education Park. This track is introduced as Istanbul's only professionally licensed karting track and one of Türkiye's most comprehensive outdoor karting circuits. Spectator entry was free, and in karting that is no small detail: you will all see together what the children who come to the track will become on the track tomorrow.

The program followed the familiar pattern. On Saturday morning, October 3, practice sessions started at 09:00 ; qualifying laps took place at 11:20, followed by the heat races at 12:00. On Sunday, October 4, the semi-finals took to the track at 10:00, the final races at 14:15, and the day closed with the award ceremony at 17:00. Within this two-day marathon, the young drivers had to manage the pressure of qualifying, the heats, and the semi-finals alike - carrying qualifying lap pace into Sunday's final is the hardest part of the job in karting.

Which categories did the Tırınk brothers win?

The weekend was written by two brothers reaching the top in two different categories on the same day. Rüzgar Tırınk claimed first place in the Junior category; in this category, Tuğra Fatinoğlu finished second and Can Özler third. In the Mini category, Bulut Tırınk finished first, followed by Can Aras Akgün and Can Mehmet Kalkan. In the teams' classifications of the categories, both first places also went to Dynamic Racing Team - meaning the brothers' individual success was confirmed at the team level as well.

The winners in the championship's other two categories were as follows:

CategoryFirstSecondThirdWinning team

SeniorErin ÜnlüdoğanAteş BirinciÖmer Ulaş AkbağDynamic Racing Team
MicroYiğit Nedim ÇelikKerem Azmi AvcıoğluAdah Giray GönençBOM Karting

The same team winning the teams' standings in three of the four categories is no coincidence; it is the result of an advantage that widened steadily throughout the season. BOM Karting's first place in Micro, however, is the sole exception to this picture.

Why is Bulut Tırınk called "four out of four" in Tuzla?

In the Mini category, Bulut Tırınk's job was not merely a final victory. The Dynamic Racing Team driver won both Heat races of the category in Tuzla, as well as the semi-final and the final, closing the day with four out of four. The gap to his teammate Can Aras Akgün, who took second place in the final, was measured at roughly three seconds - the records show a more precise decimal value, but the essence is this: by taking the top two positions in the final, the team clearly demonstrated the balance of power in the category.

As someone who has watched this business from the pit wall for many years, let me note: winning a Heat requires pace, winning the semi-final requires endurance, and winning the final requires adding composure on top of both. Doing all four on the same weekend illustrates the difference in karting between "being in form" and "being champion". In the past, drivers in this age group struggled to hold form throughout the weekend; the current generation, thanks to team infrastructure and data work, can maintain the same rhythm for two full days.

Is this double victory a first? Similar results during the season

No, it is not the first in the 2026 season. In the third round of the season, the brothers also competed at the same circuit in Bursa and finished the day first in their respective categories. In the fifth round in Uşak, both of them again won their categories. The fourth round presented a somewhat different picture: in the night races run under lights at the Kapadokya Motorsporları Complex, Bulut Tırınk rose to the top in the Mini category and Dynamic Racing Team again celebrated a double victory.

A pattern repeated at three separate locations with three different circuit characters cannot be dismissed as a single-track wave of form. The same two names finishing up front at Bursa's technical layout, Uşak's flow, and Kapadokya's night conditions speaks less of the brothers' raw speed than of how they manage their race pace. That is the work of team infrastructure; the ability for speed belongs to the driver, while consistency is the work of the garage.

How did the result affect the championship points situation?

The 2026 season is run over a total of 7 rounds ; the sixth link of the calendar that began in Bursa was completed in Tuzla. Following this round, Dynamic Racing Team took the top two positions in the Junior and Mini categories, and first and third in Senior, mathematically securing its championship in three categories. The team now preparing for the season's remaining final race is a natural continuation of this guarantee - there are no more points to lose, only medals of pride.

TOSFED's official points standings page was updated on 7 October 2026 after round 6; that is the primary address for up-to-date points tables. There is movement on the calendar side as well: the Rotax Max Challenge Türkiye 2026 season will be run on 10-11 October, meaning karting's agenda will not be clearing in Türkiye any time soon.

What does the success of the Tırınk brothers mean for Turkish karting?

Aynı ailenin iki kategoriyi birden kazanması tesadüf değil; Tuzla'daki bu tutarlılık Türk kartinginin yeni bir kuşağının geldiğini ilan ediyor.

Thirty-seven athletes competed in the four-age category at the Tuzla round; the event hosted both young talents and experienced drivers. This mix is significant, because karting's role in Türkiye has always been this: a pool that trains drivers for all levels of circuit championships and motorsports, both male and female. Female drivers also took part in the championship; in the Junior women's class, Leyla Sulyak, Ayşe Çebi, and Zeynep Büyükpınar were among the names on the podium.

The fact that the Tırınk brothers won two separate categories on the same weekend shows how strong this pool is: the same family, the same team, at the top of two categories. Their repeating this at the start of the season in Bursa, in the middle in Cappadocia, and again in Uşak is a sign of consistency that should not be confused with one-off brilliant results. Racing under Dynamic Racing Team with Petrol Ofisi as the main sponsor, the path of these two names will naturally extend to higher categories; whether they will make it there, time will tell, but we know that traditionally, drivers moving up from karting take their first test in circuit championships. The sixth round in Tuzla is a record showing that this test went well.

In short, the October 3-4 weekend became a chapter written with the names of two brothers at Tuzla Karting Park; the championship, meanwhile, has already crowned its champions in three categories as it enters its final round. The season finale will put the last piece of the puzzle in place.
