With its new honeycomb-patterned front grille, a strengthened 130 HP full hybrid unit, and standard Toyota Safety Sense 3 equipment combined with the most popular body type in the B-SUV segment, the model once again stands as the most natural answer in its class for those who prefer a self-charging hybrid.
Highlights
- Launch-specific starting price: 2,388,000 TL; the top trim goes up to 2,868,000 TL
- 1.5-liter full hybrid: 130 HP system output, 185 Nm of torque, e-CVT
- Average consumption 4.7 L/100 km; WLTP range 4.4-5.1 L
- Trims: Flame, Flame X-Pack, Passion X-Pack
- Toyota Safety Sense 3 standard across all three trims
What the Price List Says: A Launch Structure Starting from 2,388,000 TL
The Türkiye pricing of the refreshed Yaris Cross Hybrid is based on the official recommended retail price list dated October 1, 2026. The launch-specific starting price is 2,388,000 TL; on the model page, the top trim is seen to reach 2,868,000 TL. The steps between the three trims are quite steep: Flame X-Pack is shown at 2,858,000 TL in off-list sources, while Passion X-Pack is listed in the 3,095,000 TL range. In other words, there is a gap of over seven hundred thousand lira between the entry trim and the top trim; this requires the buyer to carefully weigh which comfort items they are truly paying for.
There are two details to watch out for with the prices. First, traffic insurance is not included in these amounts. Second, the 0.2% duty fee set by Law No. 7566 is collected from the customer separately. Those who have long been in this market know: the difference between the advertised figure and the figure you leave the dealership with usually arises from items like these. The same calculation should be made for the Yaris Cross.
In May, the Dream and Flame trims started from 2,294,000 TL with campaign prices, and Passion X-Pack was not on the list. With the October launch, all three trims are officially on sale; in addition, it is possible to come across different figures such as 2,360,000 TL or 2,820,000 TL on some vehicle listing sites. The healthiest solution to such discrepancies has always been the same: to base yourself on the manufacturer's own price list.
How the New Yaris Cross Is Recognized: Honeycomb Grille and Refreshed Face

You see the most distinct trace of the facelift at the front. In place of the classic grille approach, a new honeycomb-patterned front grille blending with the body color has arrived; this structure is designed to be integrated into the bumper. The LED headlights and daytime running lights have also been refreshed, with black details emphasized at the lower section. The result is a more coherent, understated look compared to the soft-lined face of the previous generation. Toyota's approach to facelifts has never chased showmanship; this time too, the change has remained measured.
To the color palette, it added Aura Bronze participates. Neptune Blue, Glacial Metallic Gray, Exotic Red and Amazon Green are offered with a black-roof two-tone option. In upper trims there are 17 and 18 inch new wheel designs; it is worth adding that the GR Sport version is also available in Europe. The Yaris Cross GA-B uses the platform and comes from the Valenciennes factory in France; it entered the Türkiye market in 2022.
130 HP New Hybrid Unit: Balance of Power, Torque and Consumption
On the actual engineering side, a strengthened full hybrid has taken the place of the previously familiar 116 HP unit. The new system produces 130 HP of power and 185 Nm of torque; the increase comes from a more powerful electric motor (62 kW versus 59 kW) and a noticeably higher torque (185 Nm versus 141 Nm). On the gasoline side, a three-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1,490 cc operates with 92 HP and 120 Nm ; the electric motor alone delivers 83 HP and 185 Nm . Front-wheel drive and the e-CVT transmission continue unchanged.
Performance figures are within the class's natural limits: 0-100 km/h in 10.7 seconds, top speed 170 km/h. The real matter is not speed but efficiency; average consumption is stated as 4.7 L/100 km while the WLTP range is 4.4-5.1 L, and CO2 is in the 100-116 g/km band. In city use, the hybrid system shows its true face; values dropping to 3.5-4.5 liters in stop-and-go traffic mean roughly half of what gasoline or mild-hybrid rivals in this class consume. On the other hand, the 36-liter tank may give long-distance travelers pause; the tank was kept small in reliance on the hybrid's low fuel consumption.
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| System power | 130 HP |
| System torque | 185 Nm |
| Engine displacement | 1,490 cc, 3 cylinders |
| Transmission / drive | e-CVT, front-wheel drive |
| 0-100 km/h | 10.7 sec |
| WLTP consumption | 4.4-5.1 L/100 km |
| CO2 | 100-116 g/km |
| Fuel tank / luggage | 36 L / 397 L (up to 1,097 L) |
The dimensions are also familiar: 4,172-4,197 mm length, 1,765 mm width, 2,560 mm wheelbase. Luggage capacity is 397 liters; the rear seats fold in a 40:20:40 ratio, and practical solutions such as an adjustable luggage floor and load hangers are available inside. Let's clarify this too: the system is self-charging; there is no plugging in, the battery fills itself through braking energy recovery. The battery warranty is 5 years / 100,000 km; with the Warranty On maintenance condition it can be extended to 10 years / 160,000 km. It is also worth recalling that fitting an LPG conversion to the hybrid unit voids the warranty; while LPG may look attractive in the old culture of this business, it is the most illogical investment to make on a full hybrid.
Flame, Flame X-Pack, Passion X-Pack: What Does Each Level Offer?
The base of the model, which comes to the Türkiye market in three levels, is the Flame, and even this level is not stingy on equipment: Toyota Safety Sense 3, 17 inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, 9 inch multimedia screen, 7 inch digital display and keyless start are standard. This segment used to be full of brands that charged extra even for this level of safety package; Toyota spreading its safety equipment across all grades is a buyer-friendly attitude in the long run.
- Flame: Safety Sense 3, 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, 9-inch screen, 7-inch digital display, keyless start.
- Flame X-Pack: On top of the Flame: panoramic glass roof, front/rear parking sensors, tinted windows, wireless charging and a 10.5-inch multimedia screen.
- Passion X-Pack: 17-inch black wheels, 12.3-inch digital display, two-tone body, hands-free tailgate, heated seats, Blind Spot Warning System and Safe Exit Assistant.
In the cabin, wireless smartphone integration, dual-zone automatic climate control with nanoe™ technology and ambient lighting stand out; the electric tailgate and wireless charging are now standard across more grades. On the safety side, the Toyota Safety Sense 3 and T-Mate structure includes a Pre-Collision System that combines a camera with a laser sensor.
Its Place in the B-SUV Market: What Sets It Apart from the Rivals?
To understand the Yaris Cross's position, we need to look at the bigger picture of the market. B-segment cars in Türkiye 108,660 units make up 30.5% of the market; hybrid cars hold a share of 119,000 units, roughly 33.4% . The overall SUV picture is also clear: in the January-August period, 372,790 units, or 66.1% of the total market. In other words, buyers are leaning toward both the small class, a higher body and hybrid powertrains; the Yaris Cross is one of the few vehicles standing at the intersection of these three trends. It is even said to be the only full hybrid B-SUV sold in Türkiye; this claim is not an exaggeration - looking at the rivals' powertrains, it holds true.
| Model | Powertrain | Cargo volume |
|---|---|---|
| Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid | Full hybrid (130 HP) | 397 liters |
| Renault Captur | Gasoline / mild-hybrid | 422 liters |
| Peugeot 2008 | Gasoline / mild-hybrid | 434 liters |
| Hyundai Bayon | Gasoline / mild-hybrid | 411 liters |
The table shows the model's strengths and weaknesses at the same time. In city driving it consumes roughly half of what the rivals do, holds a 5-star rating from Euro NCAP, and the reputation hybrid Toyotas have earned for retaining value on the second-hand market continues. On the other hand, its cargo area trails all three rivals; inside, hard plastics, noise insulation above 110 km/h and a firm suspension are among the criticisms most frequently voiced by users. Expectations for uphill performance should also be kept moderate; the new 130 HP unit is more comfortable on inclines than the previous 116 HP version, but this is not a tour de force vehicle. Its position within the Toyota lineup is also interesting: the Yaris Hybrid starts at 2,080,000 TL, while the C-HR Hybrid had started, as of June, at 2,325,000 TL; the Yaris Cross's 2,388,000 TL entry point sits in a reasonable range within this lineup.
Taxes and Cost of Ownership: Practical Questions
There are a few practical headings on which buyers base their decision. 1,490 cc engine displacement falls into the 1301-1600 cc bracket for MTV (motor vehicle tax); this means an additional running-cost advantage on top of the consumption benefit. Since the upper limit for the disabled VAT exemption is 2,873,000 TL the entry level stays below this threshold, while the higher grades exceed it. Another frequently asked topic is charging: the Yaris Cross has no plug-in operation, the system manages itself. In Europe, the model's Hybrid 115 version and AWD-i drivetrain are also on sale, but the Türkiye launch was made with the 130 HP front-wheel-drive version. Adding that maintenance costs may be higher than some rivals and that the 12V battery can drain in vehicles left parked for long periods, the ownership scenario becomes fully visible.
As a result, the renewed Yaris Cross is a model that has matured the formula we know: the only full hybrid B-SUV in its class, standard safety equipment, and now a more realistic power level. Falling behind its rivals on paper in areas such as cargo volume and suspension character does not upset the balance of efficiency in city use and lasting value retention. And the new face with honeycomb grille elegantly clears that hurdle.
