Brands Liven Up Year-End with Zero-Interest Campaigns

The Türkiye automotive market is hosting an extraordinary picture in October 2026: while sales contract sharply, brands have rolled out zero-interest loan campaigns in a race against one another, turning the end of the year into what is practically a quarter-final arena. In this article, we take a comparative look at the market's current financing race - from Togg's move with terms of up to 48 months to Nissan's commercially oriented financing, Citroën's option-based campaigns and Toyota's stock-limited offers.
Highlights
- In September 2026, the car market contracted by 27.80%; total contraction in the first 8 months of 2026 was 11.91%
- Togg announced a zero-interest campaign with terms of up to 48 months for the T10X and T10F
- In October 2026, there are 86 interest-free offers across 14 brands on loans of up to 6 million TL
- Monthly interest on bank vehicle loans ranges between 2.31% and 4.72%; brand campaigns go as low as 0%
- Almost all of Nissan's interest-free loans are exclusive to commercial customers; individual buyers are left with limited options
Why Did the Market Shrink?

For someone who has spent many years in this business, the second half of 2026 is actually a familiar scene. In the past, year-end campaigns would be followed by a quiet period after purchases pulled forward on expectations of price increases; this time the picture is much harsher. In September, the market for cars and light commercial vehicles contracted by 24.33%, while the car market alone shrank by 27.80%. The decline on the light commercial side remained relatively moderate: 10.42%.
The overall picture for the year is not encouraging either. Between January and August, the total market contracted by 11.91% compared with the same period of the previous year. In July, sales of zero-kilometer cars and light commercial vehicles fell by 25% year-on-year to a level of 80,786 units; the cumulative contraction in the first seven months of the year was 10.72%.
There are two factors behind this contraction. First, consumers had pulled their purchases forward in the previous period due to year-end campaigns and expectations of price increases. Second, the negative impact of geopolitical developments on the market as 2026 began. In short, demand was pulled forward, and the subsequent gap turned out to be deeper than expected.
Why Is 0% Interest So Valuable?
Behind all the talk about zero-interest loan campaigns lies the banks' vehicle loan table. Recently, monthly interest rates on vehicle loans vary between 2.19% and 4.72%; as of October 23, 2026, the policy rate stands at 36%. To give a concrete example: a 24-month used vehicle loan of 150,000 TL at a monthly rate of 4.29% can reach an annual cost rate of 91.84%.
Against this backdrop, the brands' 0%–0.99% campaign rates naturally offer a clear advantage. However, there is a detail that experienced buyers should know: charges such as allocation fees and lien establishment fees in the campaign tables push the annual cost rate higher. For example, in Citroën's 0% interest campaigns, the annual cost rate can be seen to range between 1.17%–7.35%. In other words, the interest on paper and the total amount coming out of your wallet are not always the same thing.
Togg's Zero Interest Move: Terms of Up to 48 Months
The most eye-catching move in the campaign race undoubtedly came from Togg. The company announced a zero-interest campaign with terms of up to 48 months for the T10X and T10F models. In the sample table, an example with a 168 thousand lira down payment and monthly installments of 50 thousand TL stands out. In previous campaigns, the term stayed within the 6–12 month band; a term of up to 48 months means serious flexibility on the domestic car's financing front.
Looking at Togg's campaign history, it is clear that it is in a constant financing battle. In September, a campaign aimed at individual users came to the fore, featuring a 584 thousand TL down payment and a zero-interest loan, with the T10F V2 standing out. In the summer months, a 0% interest loan option of 1.7 million TL had been offered. The company's official sales and financing page states that current campaigns can be followed there.
Brand-by-Brand October 2026 Zero-Interest Vehicle Campaigns
As of October 2026, it is estimated that there are 86 interest-free loan offers across 14 brands, on loan amounts of up to 6 million TL. However, how many of these offers actually reach individual buyers is another question. The comparison below summarizes the current campaign conditions of the standout brands:
| Brand | Campaign | Term | Interest | Segment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Togg | T10X and T10F, terms of up to 48 months | Up to 48 months | 0% | Individual |
| Citroën | Ami: 250,000 TL loan or 30,000 TL cash discount | 12 months | 0% | Private |
| Citroën | Berlingo: Loan of up to 750,000 TL | 12 months | 0% | Private |
| Toyota | Proace City: 1,000,000 TL | 6 months | 0% | 2026 model year |
| Nissan | 1,000,000 TL commercial loan + cash discount of up to 400,000 TL | 6 months | 0% | Commercial |
| Opel | Monthly campaign interest for legal entities | 02.10–31.10.2026 | 0% | Corporate |
| Fiat | Topolino: 300,000 TL loan or 50,000 TL cash discount | 12 months | 0.99% | Individual |
| Chery | Tiggo7 Prestige 4×2: 400,000 TL | 6 months | 0% | Commercial |
Citroën: The Options-Based Approach
Citroën is one of the few brands that offers buyers two paths. For the Ami and Ami Rip Curl, a 12-month 0% interest loan of 250,000 TL or a 30,000 TL cash discount option is offered. For the Berlingo, 12 months at 0% interest applies for loans of up to 750,000 TL; for corporate customers, there is also an alternative of 1,400,000 TL with a monthly interest rate of 1.79%. On the commercial side, 12 months at 0% interest is applied in the 500,000–750,000 TL band for the Berlingo Van, Jumpy Van and Jumper 3.5T. For hybrid-electric models such as the ë-C3 and C3 Aircross Hybrid, a 0.99% interest option stands out.
Toyota: Limited-Stock Offers
At Toyota, the Proace City model offers a 6-month, 0% interest loan of 1,000,000 TL for 2026 model year vehicles. A financing advantage of up to 100% on all passenger and light commercial models at Toyota Plazas has been announced for corporate and sole proprietorship businesses. The October campaigns are stated to run between October 1 and 31 and to be limited to available stock; the Yaris Cross Hybrid is reported to include a discount at the level of 460,000 TL. On the Corolla side, campaign prices starting from 1,965,000 TL are in effect.
Nissan: Commercial-Oriented Financing
Nissan's picture is a bit different. While individual and commercial customers are offered a cash purchase discount of up to 400,000 TL, the main interest-free loan offer is aimed at the commercial side: a commercial loan of 1,000,000 TL with a 6-month term at 0% interest. Campaign prices start at 1,899,000 TL for the Juke and at 2,249,000 TL for the Qashqai Mild Hybrid Designpack. However, in market assessments, it is frequently pointed out that nearly all of Nissan's 0% interest loans are exclusive to commercial customers, leaving limited options for individual buyers. We used to see campaigns open to everyone; now we see that the discrimination is not by identity type, but by customer type.
Individual or Commercial? The True Scope of the Campaigns
There is a striking pattern in the brands' campaign announcements: a significant portion of the interest-free loans are aimed at commercial customers or corporate entities. At Nissan, nearly all of the 0% loans are exclusive to the commercial side. Toyota and Citroën offer different terms to individual and corporate customers. Opel's October campaign is aimed directly at corporate entities. The Tiggo7 Prestige campaign at Chery is also exclusive to commercial customers. In short, not all of the 86 offers go into the individual buyer's pocket; the buyer has to sift out the offer that matches their customer group and model stock.
The limitations of the campaign scope are also worth noting. The brands warn that offers may vary depending on model, trim, stock, and customer group. In other words, the table on the campaign page and the options you encounter at the dealership may not always match exactly.
0% Interest or Cash Discount - Which Is More Advantageous?
Citroën's Ami campaign is the clearest example of this question: a 12-month, 0% interest loan of 250,000 TL or a cash discount of 30,000 TL. With the 12-month 0% interest loan, the total repayment does not exceed 250,000 TL; however, costs such as file fees raise the annual cost. With the cash discount option, the 30,000 TL discount is deducted directly from the vehicle price. Which one is more advantageous depends on the buyer's down payment capacity and the real magnitude of the costs. For someone comfortable with a down payment, a cash discount makes sense; for someone in need of financing, a 0% loan is a reasonable assumption - but the final decision should not be made without seeing the annual cost rate in the campaign table.
Outlook for the Market: Contraction or the New Normal?
While official data shows a sharp contraction, some market assessments paint a more optimistic picture. Analyses of expectations for 2026 foresee stronger dynamism in the new and used car markets; it is reported that although used car prices are falling, interest is concentrated in certain models. There are also assessments indicating 116 thousand sales for October and a 72.9% increase on the electric vehicle side; however, these figures should be read cautiously until they are confirmed by an official bulletin.
To put it with a 30-year habit: brands turning so quickly and so widely to interest-free financing campaigns is the most concrete sign that demand is weakening. To avoid losing market share, manufacturers are absorbing the difference between their own financing channels and bank interest rates. For the consumer, this is a window of opportunity; but nobody knows exactly when the window will close. Campaigns usually end at the end of the month or when stock runs out, and the terms can change every month.
Conclusion: The Informed Buyer Wins the Year-End Race
Türkiye's automotive market is entering the end of 2026 with a picture of a sector trying to offset the contraction in sales through financing campaigns. While Togg's move with terms of up to 48 months expands the limits of loan tenors, Citroën's selective approach and Toyota's stock-limited offers show the intensity of competition in the market. Nissan's commercial-vehicle-weighted structure, on the other hand, is a reminder that campaigns do not reach everyone. On the buyer's side, the healthiest path is to look at a campaign not only in terms of its interest rate, but also its tenor, down payment amount, allocation and lien fees, and annual cost rate together. 0% on paper does not always mean 0% in your pocket.
