Togg T10X is the first model of Togg, Türkiye's domestic electric car brand; defined technically as a T10X C-SUV. Contrary to the common perception on the market, it is not a sedan version: its sedan-bodied sibling, the T10F, is sold as a separate model. The T in its name represents Türkiye, while the X represents the SUV body. First deliveries began in mid-2023, and the car has established a unique position in its segment with a design shaped together with Pininfarina, a 41.3-inch end-to-end screen architecture, and integration with the Trugo charging network.

Highlights

  • In the C-SUV segment, Pininfarina-signed design, a 5-star
  • rating from Euro NCAP. Two batteries: 52.4 kWh / 314 km and 88.5 kWh / 523 km WLTP
  • DC fast charging up to 180 kW; official 20%→80% time of 28 minutes
  • 41.3-inch end-to-end screen, 9 airbags, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto
  • RWD 218 HP / 350 Nm; AWD 435 PS, 700 Nm

What kind of vehicle is the Togg T10X: identity, segment and design

To summarize the T10X's positioning in one sentence: a battery-electric vehicle in C-SUV dimensions with rear-wheel drive. In Togg's official language, however, the vehicle is not described as a classic "car," but as a "smart electric SUV device" that is part of the "connected life" concept. This marketing choice may seem exaggerated, but when we move on to the interior and the software side, we will see that the car does genuinely go beyond being a classic vehicle.

The design language bears the signature of Italy-based Pininfarina. The most recognizable detail is the tulip motif unique to Anatolia on the front grille. On the safety side, we have a concrete reference: a 5-star rating from the Euro NCAP crash tests. Luggage capacity is 441 liters; with the rear seats folded, this value rises to 1,515 liters . The vehicle weight being around 2,100 kg is a natural consequence of the battery capacity and a figure that should not be overlooked when evaluating the driving character.

Range, battery and charging character

52,4 kWh'den 88,5 kWh'ye uzanan batarya seçenekleriyle T10X, 314 ile 523 kilometre arası WLTP menzil sunuyor.

The T10X is sold with two battery options, and this choice directly determines the vehicle's daily use profile:

FeatureStandard rangeLong range
Battery capacity52.4 kWh88.5 kWh
WLTP range314 km523 km
AC charging (11 kW)Approx. 5-6 hoursApprox. 8-9 hours
DC fast charging (10%→80%)Approx. 20-35 minOfficial 20%→80% time 28 min

On the DC side, the car supports fast charging up to 180 kW via its CCS socket; the official catalog 20%→80% time is 28 minutes. In the real world, this duration varies depending on the station's power capacity and battery temperature: for the base 52.4 kWh pack, 35-50 minutes at a 60 kW station and a range of 25-35 minutes at 120 kW are reasonable references. The noticeable drop in charging speed after 80% is not a malfunction, but a standard power curve strategy applied to protect battery life; the longer durations in winter conditions are part of the same logic. Preconditioning partially reduces this effect.

LFP battery transition

A notable technical break occurred on the production side: After June 15 production began using LFP battery chemistry instead of NMC chemistry. LFP is a chemistry known for its thermal durability and cycle life; on the other hand, since its energy density differs, small variations in range and consumption figures can occur depending on the hardware. For this reason, checking the production date in a used-car evaluation is not merely an academic detail.

Performance: rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and an unexpected acceleration

In the standard RWD version, a single motor produces 218 HP of power and 350 Nm of torque; 0-100 km/h acceleration takes 7.8 seconds in the long-range package, dropping to 7.4 seconds in the short-range version thanks to the lighter battery. Top speed is 180 km/h. This is a setup geared not toward drag racing but toward predictable and efficient use; thanks to the electric motor's instant torque, it offers sufficient leverage for city driving and overtaking maneuvers.

On the all-wheel-drive side, the "4More Obsidian" version plays in a different league: 435 PS of total power, 700 Nm of torque and 468 km WLTP range. The fact that range remains this high in a two-motor setup is a sign of a front-rear motor distribution tuned at an efficient operating point.

How functional is the Trugo charging ecosystem?

One of the most tangible factors distinguishing the T10X from its rivals is that the car is sold not on its own but as part of an ecosystem. Trugo positions itself as the "first and only" operator offering high-speed charging service in all 81 provinces of Türkiye and promises 20% to 80% charging in under 30 minutes. The mobile app is in service; there is a 24/7 User Care center, and charging is available in all compatible-socket vehicles, including the T10X. Togg has also offered seasonal discounts and an autocharge feature: when the vehicle connects to a station, it is automatically recognized and the charging process begins without manual initiation.

A critical footnote must be added to this picture: some users report not having a seamless charging experience at Trugo stations, and the debate over "is charging speed sufficient, or is usage habit the decisive factor" continues on forums. The 81-province coverage is a geographically impressive promise; availability per station, however, is a variable that needs to be checked depending on the route. Evaluating charging infrastructure without separating it from the vehicle is precisely the right approach from an engineering standpoint.

Interior and technology package

The defining element of the T10X's cabin is its 41.3-inch end-to-end screen architecture. This is not a single panel, but three functional layers: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 29-inch infotainment screen, and a separate 8-inch touch control screen. Consolidating frequently used controls such as climate control on a separate screen is an architectural choice that reduces the risk of getting lost in menu depth while driving.

The hardware list exceeds segment standards:

  • a Snapdragon-powered digital cockpit and an in-car social camera
  • Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
  • Meridian premium sound system, wireless phone charging
  • Keyless entry, heated seats, optional panoramic glass roof
  • 9 airbags

Driver assistance systems are included even in the V1 base package: front and rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, camera-based driver attention assistant, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and emergency braking support. The color palette is also part of the brand identity: names like Cappadocia beige, Gemlik blue, Anatolia red, Pamukkale white, Oltu black and Kula grey were chosen from the Anatolian landscape.

On the software side: OTA updates and TruOS

The counterpart of its positioning as a "smart device" is that the software keeps evolving after the vehicle has been delivered. From March 2026 onward TruOS 1.7.2 OTA update rollout has begun; the update brings a faster and more responsive infotainment system, improved driver fatigue detection and face recognition, and automatic charging features. In a more comprehensive OTA wave, the "Standby mode" was removed from the T10X, auto-locking was added, and new screen themes arrived. Connected services are offered through the Digital Premium subscription.

Where does the Togg T10X stand against its rivals?

The most meaningful axis of comparison is the balance of range and performance. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Advance's 63 kWh battery offers 440 km of range and 170 HP, while the T10X long-range version, with 88.5 kWh, promises 523 km WLTP and 218 HP; in acceleration, however, the short-range T10X's 7.4-second figure takes the lead. Real-world measurements also clarify the gap between official figures and reality: in one test, the Model Y SR delivered 440 km against its 480 km WLTP value, while the T10X V2 LR achieved 402 km of real range. In other words, every manufacturer's WLTP figure falls somewhat short on real roads; the difference is not unique to the T10X. On the safety side, Euro NCAP adult protection scores of the Tesla Model 3 and Kia EV6 at 90 points form a strong reference line.

Acceleration 0-1007.4 s (short range)T10X advantage recorded
Adult protection (Euro NCAP)5 starsModel 3 and EV6: 90 points
Charging networkTrugo, coverage in 81 provincesBrand-specific networks

On the usage cost side, the advantage of the electric architecture is measurable: over the same period, gasoline use costs roughly 330 TL/100 km, diesel roughly 340 TL/100 km while one user reported covering 100 km for about 24 TL (home charging scenario). Comparing the T10X with the Model Y and Ioniq 5 in terms of service network, charging infrastructure and second-hand value retention is also natural; however, a young brand's long-term value retention is a variable that can only be verified with data over time.

User experience: strengths and known weak points

The general consensus on ownership is consistent: in terms of design, range and equipment, the vehicle has gathered mostly positive reviews since 2023; the spacious interior, quiet ride and strong equipment are the most frequently highlighted strengths. International perception is not one-sided either - the test by the German DER SPIEGEL includes both praise and criticism, which is a normal starting point for a young brand. Long-term ownership content is also starting to emerge; the 130,000 km test and the 1.5-year / 38,000 km ownership reviews are valuable references for decision-makers.

The list of chronic issues seen in the first production years of an electric vehicle should be approached knowingly. As of 2026, topics under discussion include black screen cases, the OBC (onboard charger) that manages AC charging, the 12V battery, the charging port and trim noises; which ones have been resolved with software updates and what to look for on the used market are actively being discussed. This picture does not show that the T10X is a bad car, but that it is a first model that experienced the teething problems faced by early adopters.

Conclusion: For whom does the T10X make sense in 2026?

When evaluating the Togg T10X, three criteria need to be kept separate. As a vehicle: with efficient battery packs, reasonable performance, rich equipment and a 5-star safety report, it is measurably competitive in its segment. As an ecosystem: Trugo's coverage of all 81 provinces and features like autocharge are a real difference, while station-based reliability is a variable that needs to be verified depending on the route. As for maturity: the LFP battery transition and continuous OTA updates demonstrate the brand's rapid learning capacity, while the chronic problems of early production units require careful technical inspection by second-hand buyers. The long-range pack has the capacity to eliminate range anxiety in most usage profiles; the standard pack is sufficient for drivers who mainly use home charging and have short daily distances.

One of the most important habits my profession as a mechanical engineer has given me is looking not only at a system's outcome, but also at how and why it works. My interest in automobiles is also fueled by this perspective. For me, a car is not just design, performance, or comfort; it is a holistic system where mechanics, electronics, software, and engineering come together.

Over time, I combined my engineering background with software development. The intersection of these two fields has allowed me to look at modern automobiles from a more integrated perspective. I follow the world of automobiles, from engines and suspension to driver assistance systems and software technologies, through the eyes of both an engineer and a car enthusiast.

My aim at Otomobilgi.com is to explain technical subjects in a language that preserves engineering accuracy and keeps curiosity about cars alive, without drowning them in unnecessary complexity. Because for me, a good car is not merely beautiful or fast; it is a special work that conveys design, technology, and driving character as a whole.
