Togg, T10X and T10F has rolled out a comprehensive over-the-air software update for its models. The update, covering charging, multimedia, sound system, connectivity, camera, climate control and energy management, is distributed to the vehicles over the cellular connection without requiring a service visit. The package, ranging from improved screen response times to uninterrupted AC charging, promises a noticeable improvement in daily use.
Highlights
- The update As of October 8, 2026 is being distributed jointly for the T10X and T10F.
- Defining the software to the vehicle takes approximately 15 minutes, while the total installation can take up to 3 hours .
- Defining it to all vehicles is planned to be completed within approximately 3 months .
- AC charging is no longer interrupted when the door is unlocked; the standard sound system has gained equalizer support.
- For installation, the battery level must be above 20%, and the 12V battery level above 70% .
What does the update coming to the Togg T10X and T10F cover?
The most visible side of the package is on the multimedia front. The response time of the end-to-end digital infotainment screen has been optimized; menu transitions have become smoother. As someone who has been in this business for years, this is how it should be read: comfort-breaking details such as the screen freezing or touch input being registered late are the things that most quickly shake the user's confidence in the vehicle. It is no coincidence that Togg prioritized this area.
The 360-degree surround view camera has also been overhauled. The camera now opens faster; accessing the live image during parking and maneuvering has become easier. Image quality and transitions between angles are also on the list of improvements. According to the release notes after the update, automatic radio station updates, a renewed TruStore interface, app performance improvements and full-screen use in the Gez navigation app are also being activated.
On the sound side, a long-awaited shortcoming is being closed: the standard sound system has gained equalizer support. Users can now adjust the sound profile manually. Bluetooth connection stability has also been strengthened.
Why did the AC charging experience change?

The most talked-about item of the update is on the charging side. In previous software versions, charging could be interrupted when the door was unlocked while the vehicle was AC charging; for example, returning to the vehicle at a station to grab something and finding the charge cut short is an annoying situation in practice. With the new software, this interruption has been eliminated: even when unlocked, AC charging continues uninterrupted.
For the T10X, an automatic charging feature has also arrived. A one-time setup is performed; afterwards, charging can be done at supported stations without an additional confirmation step. This is exactly what simplifies things in electric vehicle use: the difference between simply arriving at the station and plugging in the charging cable, versus having a confirmation screen squeezed in between, is felt much more clearly once the initial excitement wears off.
What has improved in energy and battery management?
The update also touches layers beneath the surface. Energy balance management between the high-voltage battery and the 12V battery has been made more efficient. In an electric vehicle, the 12V battery is like the heart of critical electronics; managing this balance well prevents frustrating situations such as the car failing to start. Air conditioning performance has also been improved, and the energy system and emergency (SOS) alerts have been made more understandable.
There are other items in the official release notes as well: improvements have been made to driver fatigue detection and face recognition performance. The password requirement can now optionally be removed when face recognition is not in use; in other words, login without a PIN is possible. Software improvements to braking and road-holding functions as well as wiper performance enhancements are also on the list.
There are two notes you should know about after installation: for the face recognition feature to work, the face data must be deleted and relearned. The ADA and ACC features, on the other hand, are expected to become active again within the same day. The Digital Premium Package, which includes the internet quota required for the update, is automatically assigned to the device for 1 month.
How is the update installed, and how long does it take?
Installation follows a simple menu path:
- Go to the top-right menu on the main screen.
- Open the Vehicle section.
- Select Software Update from System Information.
You can also follow the process through the Trumore app. Assigning the software to the vehicle takes about 15 minutes while the total installation can reach 3 hours depending on the current version and cellular connection speed. In the past, you had to make a service appointment for such software renewals and wait half a day; it must be acknowledged that over-the-air distribution has fundamentally changed this habit.
Three conditions should be observed before installation: the smart device's battery level above 20% the 12V battery level above 70% and the vehicle must be in Accessory Mode. In addition, the update is being rolled out in stages; assignment to all vehicles is planned to be completed within about 3 months So if the update has not yet arrived on your vehicle, it is not a fault; it is likely that your turn has simply not come yet.
What step is this update in Togg's software strategy?
This package is not a standalone improvement; it is a concrete output of Togg's strategy of positioning the T10X as a smart device that evolves over time. The brand's OTA (over-the-air) capability is also meaningful for the domestic electric vehicle ecosystem: the ability of the vehicle to keep improving through software even after its day of sale requires a usage model different from classic automobile habits, and Togg is implementing this model with regular rollouts.
The series was also active on the software side throughout 2026. The T10X switched to the 2.0 software release in April 2026 for parallel experience with the T10F, the Standby mode was removed, and automatic locking that activates when you walk away from the vehicle was added. In the same period, the BDCC module that manages the body electronics was also activated. As of March 2026, the distribution of TruOS 1.7.2 began, and in May 2026 the T10F received a separate update including infotainment speed, battery management, and driving safety improvements. On the battery side, it was announced that T10X and T10F units produced from 2026 onward would switch to LFP chemistry; it was stated that the battery capacity of the T10F's long-range versions was revised upward from the previously announced 88.5 kWh.
Is the distribution going smoothly?
The picture is not entirely rosy. On complaint platforms, users report update check errors, the vehicle going silent after installation, screen and camera shutdowns, and charging problems. In forum discussions, the experience is summarized as software that is still maturing despite fundamentally good hardware. On the other hand, the equalizer support was positively received by a significant portion of users, as it brings a long-awaited flexibility to the low-standard sound system. This dual picture is not surprising given the nature of the OTA strategy: software can reach vehicles quickly, but errors also become visible just as fast.
Caution is needed regarding the version number. The update is referred to as OTA 2.1.3 in user communities; however, there is no separate page for this release on the manufacturer's official page, and the most up-to-date official release page points to 1.7.2. In this article, only the definition found in community sources can be conveyed regarding the version number.
What does the update give the user in daily use?
When you translate the bullet points into daily rhythm, the picture becomes clear. When you return to the vehicle to grab something you forgot while it is charging at the station in the morning, the charging session is no longer interrupted. The camera opens faster during parking maneuvers. The screen detects touches without delay. At the charging station, you charge without approval using a one-time setup. The radio and store apps update themselves. None of these are features sold in a brochure; but those who live with an electric vehicle know that the car's character is actually defined by the reduction of these small frictions.
The community's wishlist is not empty either: especially older T10X users are discussing when the update will reach their vehicles, and feature requests such as the corner camera opening when signaling are being voiced. Although the question of when the next major release will come is on the community's agenda, there is no official statement on the matter; there is no point in building expectations based on rumors either.
The verdict: for someone who has watched the evolution of automotive software for over 30 years, Togg's package is not a luxury but a sign of maturity. The saying that software improves over time if the hardware is right is being tested once again with this rollout. The only thing that matters for the user is to be patient throughout the 3-month phased schedule and to set up the installation conditions correctly.
